About Us

The Manor Born LTD was launched in 1991 in Atlanta, GA by owner Wendy Middleton. Wendy was born and raised in England where she completed her studies in textile and design. Pursuing a career in home furnishings Wendy moved to the United States in 1984. Her subsequent retail and wholesale home furnishing experience made for a well rounded knowledge and insight in the industry.

The Manor Born LTD. A predominantly sales rep company started out exhibiting in temporary booths in the Atlanta and New York gift shows but soon advanced into it’s own 6000 sq ft showroom in Atlanta’s Americasmart. The company’s rapid success was due to Wendy’s inspired marketing ,creative advertising and extraordinary merchandising. The Manor Born became a destination for interior designers , high–end boutiques and mail order catalog companies from around the world.

Wendy married her husband John Gassett in 2004 and moved to Fort Lauderdale. Wendy now operates The Manor Born from Florida where her focus has shifted to importing and distributing high end products.
